There F11 is more or less a premium version of the F10 and offers shutter priority and aperture priority as well as few minor improvements; it has a higher resolution LCD screen at 153,000 pixels and it also allows you to shoot closer with a 5cm macro mode. Aside from these features and a very slight color change its practically the same. It will be available in November and pricing, as usual, will be announced nearer the time. In addition, it has been bestowed with aperture priority and shutter priority modes, giving scope for a level of creativity and photographic control that will appeal to photography enthusiasts. This gives startlingly clean images, whether composing shots in bright sunshine, in low light or indoors without flash. ( June 2009 ) ( Learn how and when to remove this template message ). With its relatively large, but moderate-resolution Super CCD sensors, it concentrated on image quality, and low-light shooting without flash, which was mostly restricted to prosumer models at the time. One of the camera's weaknesses, however, was manual shooting. Lacking aperture and shutter speed priority modes, the F10 was mostly a point and shoot camera. Other criticisms included the proprietary dongle needed to make any connections to the camera and a relatively high level of purple fringing. It also had a slightly improved LCD screen and a few other minor improvements to the F10.Although there is definite noise in pictures taken at 3200 ISO, they are often usable, and the F30 was seen as another leap forward in low-light abilities for a compact camera.Compared to the F30, the F20 had a lower-resolution LCD screen, lower capacity battery, a maximum ISO of 2000, and a few other changes to the body and menu system. It also lacked Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority modes. A small number of F20s were sold under the names F20SE and F20 LE. The LE version was primarily distributed by a large UK Electronics Retail chain with the only difference being a 'gunmetal' finish. The F31fd also has a new IrSimple data transfer capability for wireless printing and photos viewing on IrSimple enabled TV sets. The F40fd was also sold under the name FinePix F45fd with only cosmetic differences.

It is not firmware compatible with the F40fd but it has its own firmware update available to add support for SDHC memory cards.Succeeding its 2006 predecessor, the F31fd, this latest model is greatly improved over the F40fd. Boasting a 7th generation 12-megapixel Super CCD, a 2.7 inch amorphous silicon TFT LCD screen and a sleek new design, the F50fd is the first model in the Finepix 'F' series to feature optical-based image stabilization, referred to as Dual Stabilization Mode. Face recognition has been updated to 2.0, now featuring an automatic red-eye removal. No longer does the camera need a direct-frontal shot in order to identify a face, it can capture faces at different angles without the subject having to look straight to the camera. A small number of F50fds were sold under the name F50SE.It features a 12-megapixel chip, a wide angle zoom (28-140mm equiv.), and ISO capabilities up to ISO 3200 (full resolution) or up to ISO 12800 at 3M recorded pixels. The F100fd does not contain aperture priority or shutter priority modes, hence it cannot be considered a successor of the F11, F30, F31, F50 models. The pink band can be seen on the left side of the photograph. FujiFilm attempted to address the situation with a firmware update. Not all F100's exhibit this problem, and in real world shooting, not artificial 'black space', it is not noticeable in the vast majority of cases. The F100fd has no continuous aperture. For this reason the F100fd (or a successor with the same lens system) cannot be equipped with the creative shooting modes (i.e. aperture or shutter priority). In contrast to the F100fd, the F60fd does have photography modes for creative shooting (i.e. aperture and shutter priority). The camera offers several manual modes and automatic scene recognition. Its most remarkable feature is the choice between three different sensor modes: fullThe latter two modes work at effectiveThe F200EXR also features sensor stabilization.

The F72EXR is identical to the F70EXR but has a black body instead of the F70EXR's gunmetal gray color. The F80EXR is visually identical to the F70EXR except for some minor differences. It does not follow the previous F-series camera's large sensor in a small body moto. Also new to the F series is a long 15X optical zoom lens (24-360mm) and a hybrid autofocus system which uses both TTL Contrast detection and Phase detection, similar to auto focus systems used in DSLRs. 2 dedicated pixels on the sensor divide incoming light into image pairs to determine the direction and the amount of focus adjustments to achieve faster level of focus compared to TTL contrast auto focus systems. Other new features include a double sliding lens structure which make the lens both a wide angle and telephoto lens in a smaller package and a pop up flash. The F300EXR is also capable of 720P high definition video recording. These included the compact, uniquely shaped F401, F402, F410, F420, F440, and F450, the larger but well-regarded F700 and F810, and the F601 Zoom and F610. Some of these cameras had earlier versions of the Super CCD sensor, but Fuji had not yet refined the use of the sensor specifically to reduce noise, and had not yet combined other low-light performance features to make them stand out. The F700 and F601 Zoom, for instance, were capable of ISO 1600 but only in 1-megapixel mode. Most of these earlier cameras did not have autofocus assist beams, and none of them had remarkable battery life.By using this site, you agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Although the Fujifilm F10 can be used Fujifilm have obviously So have Fujifilm built on the Read my review to discover the answer. Nice LCD screen and great battery life too The F11 addresses a few elements of the F10 that were not exactly problems, more just missing, such as manual shooting control for example.

So, the camera boasts more or less the same design and control layout of the F10 but with a smorgasbord of options and a new control switch that surrounds the shutter release on the top plate. It gives you the entree to the new camera's manual control options. An auto-shooting mode is still in there (the control switch must be flipped round to the required setting) as is an option allowing a fast route to a selection of subject program (or scene) modes. A high quality 640x480 movie mode (also selected via the same, shutter release surrounding switch) with sound provides video at a resolution enough for (almost) TV-screen filling video with mono sound to the limit of the storage card in use. Talking of storage the camera comes complete with a 64Mb xD card (so better than many manufacturers more modest supplied cards) that gives enough space for around 21 high quality JPEG shots or about 2 minutes of 640-pixel video. Just like other Fujis equipped with the same 5th Generation SuperCCD HR sensor, noise issues with images are held in check very well indeed, even at the maximum 1600 ISO sensitivity setting. There's some processing artifacts floating about on my shots, particularly in shadow areas in low light (using the Auto ISO mode), these can be cleared using the lower ISO 80 or ISO 100 settings and on balance, I'd rather have those than boat loads of noise. Using the vivid setting on the particularly grey days, I've had to contend with on this shoot helped boost colours and contrast. But there's still no substitute for sunshine. Best DSLR cameras 2020: The best interchangeable lens cameras available to buy today. Metering and AF work well, the former uses a 256-zone set up that works well and is complemented by centre-weighted and spot modes, while the latter has single and continuous settings plus a low-light emitter for darker situations. The F11's flash is underpowered for my liking (but what small compact cameras flash units are not?

) but makes for a good fill-in in daylight or dusk. Handling is quite accomplished for a small camera; with my one niggle here, reserved for the menus, which I'll deal with shortly. Many of the menus just require a selection using the jog button while other require a press of the OK button. But frustratingly the latter also brings you out of the menu system, even if you're not finished setting up. As well as meaning you have to go back into menus once again if you're not finished this wastes valuable shooting time. Good examples of this niggle are the selection of, say, aperture or shutter priority, and exposure compensation. You can't adjust them both and then come out of menus, each must be done one at a time. Obviously the thinking is you can get back to shooting as quickly as possible from a given menu, but in practice, the down side is you actually waste more time if you have to constantly flip in and out of shooting menus in order to get the required setting. However, on the plus side, the superb power management means the battery lasts for a claimed 500-shots per charge, a stand out feature.Battery life is superb so if it's a compact, stylish high-resolution digital camera your after, at ?299.99, the F11 is one that should be very high on your hit list indeed. Although the design remains the same (the F11 still looks more like a bottom of the line camera than a highly capable compact) the F11 adds shutter priority and aperture priority and a higher resolution LCD screen, up from 115,000 pixels to 153,000 pixels As with the F10, the camera features a class leading sensitivity of ISO 80-1600, courtesy of Fujifilm's 'Real Photo Processor' technology. We remain impressed with the results, with the high ISO rating letting us capture natural-looking images where other cameras would be reaching for the flash or crumbling into a noisy mess. Although we welcomed the extra control afforded by the new aperture and shutter priority modes, we did get a bit frustrated with the interface. Some other niggles remain too: we don't like the way the LCD display briefly turns off when the flash is charging nor do we like Fuji's annoying 'breakout box' that users have to drag about if they wish to charge up the camera. But overall, the camera continues to impress, and produced excellent exposures throughout our tests (although minor problems with purple fringing remain). Learn More I haven’t seen one since I wrote about the fantastic Finepix S9500 back in November of last year, and before that I have to go back to August to find my review of the then-new Finepix F10. I was pretty enthusiastic about that model, mainly because it broke new ground in high-ISO image quality and noise reduction. It keeps exactly the same body design, the same 6.63 megapixel SuperCCD HR sensor and the same 3x optical zoom lens. What it adds to the winning formula is a higher resolution LCD monitor (153K pixels over 115K), slightly better macro performance (5cm instead of 7.5cm), and more importantly aperture and shutter priority exposure metering, absolutely essential for creative photography. It stops short of full manual exposure, but the additional options will be welcomed by keen photographers.
